UK biology students use 3D printing technology to rebuild damaged coral reefs

A team of scientists now believe they have the solution to rebuilding coral reef habitats after students from the University of Exeter discovered the use of 3D printing technology to create new coral backbones.

It comes as dramatic changes in the Earth’s climate have taken their toll on the oceans’ coral reefs, resulting in reef bleaching.
