Registration is now open for the China International Import Expo (CIIE), an import-themed trade expo with many opportunities for multinational companies wishing to do business with the Chinese manufacturing industry. The fourth annual CIIE will take place in Shanghai Nov. 5 – 10, 2021.
Each exhibition section of the trade fair is a professional trade show in a specific industry. The Intelligent Industry Information Technology Exhibition Area highlights the latest products and technology in the manufacturing industry. In 2020, the area spanned more than 70,000 square meters and housed more than 300 enterprises from nearly 40 countries and regions.
During the 2020 show, this area also housed the Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection subsection, which focused on fields such as water management, renewable energy, recycling and environmental protection. The CIIE Bureau plans to set up a subsection for integrated circuit exhibitors this year and establish a special advisory committee for the integrated circuit industry.
The CIIE has previously established a special committee on industrial digital transformation, which promotes advanced digital transformation solutions to enterprises in the field of industrial production.
A significant global media presence at CIIE enables participants to gain significant media exposure for their deals, products and innovations. Participating companies entering China can also partner with local businesses offering consultancy, customs clearance, business registration, matchmaking and other services, while seminars provide insight on policies that streamline doing business in China, including preferential tax policies for the retention and purchase of imported exhibits.
Preparations for the 4th CIIE are proceeding smoothly, with over 60% of the exhibition area booked.
