LEADING independent property, construction and infrastructure consultancy Pick Everard has continued a stream of framework wins, being appointed to Scotland Excel’s engineering and technical consultancy framework.
Scotland Excel is a leading non-profit shared service funded by Scotland’s 32 local authorities and is the centre of procurement expertise for the local government sector.
The engineering and technical consultancy framework, which has an estimated value of £72.5m, will provide local authorities and the wider public sector access to approved consultants for a range of professional services. Pick Everard’s successful award sees the firm appointed to Lot 9 to provide project and commercial management.
Euan Matheson, regional director for Scotland at Pick Everard, said: “This is a significant framework award for our Scottish offices, with Scotland Excel being a key and central organisation for public sector procurement.
We are really pleased to have been selected as a core supplier for the framework, allowing us to further expand our gold standard service to the public sector across Scotland.
“Through this framework clients will have the opportunity to appoint us via a direct award, and we will have the ability to compete for mini-competitions across a broad range of projects – and we look forward to starting work on our first projects via this framework.”
This is Pick Everard’s second appointment to a Scotland Excel framework, but is the firm’s first appointment for project and cost management services.
Mark Colby, partner at Pick Everard, said: “Project and cost management are some of our fastest growing services in Scotland, so we are really pleased to be appointed to the framework helping us grow our services even further as we continue to support public sector organisations in Scotland.
“This particular framework can be accessed by Scotland’s 32 local authorities that are core members of Scotland Excel, but also by the education sector and associated and affiliated bodies, Scottish Prison Services and Scottish National Health Service Authorities and Trusts, among others. These are all areas that we have a great deal of experience in as a firm, allowing us to provide our excellent expertise to these clients via this framework.”
This is the second framework Pick Everard has been awarded a place on in Scotland in recent months, having been appointed to provide structural and civil engineering, and mechanical and electrical engineering services via the City of Edinburgh’s professional services framework in November.
Pick Everard employs more than 500 staff across its 13 offices, providing a range of project, cost, and design consultancy services. For more information, please visit www.pickeverard.co.uk.
