3D-printing technology could prove useful to the Indian armed forces, including for the production of hard-to-find spare parts for legacy equipment.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has for the first time released an RfP for 3D-printed components, including the development of flat washers for the Snecma M53 jet engine for the Mirage 2000-5 fighter.

Following the RfP for 140 components, the IAF said it will release another RfI for 3D parts …
